More Superintendent Meetings Scheduled

Superintendents leading the statewide initiative to take back local control of Ohio’s public schools are continuing to meet with their peers in several more counties.  The purpose of the meetings is to invite them to join the Ohio Public School Advocacy Network which has been formed to give citizens a stronger voice in shaping education policy in the Buckeye state.  Tomorrow, Ridgemont Local Schools Superintendent Emmy Beeson is meeting with fellow superintendents at the South Central Ohio Educational Service Center which serves member districts in Adams, Jackson and Scioto Counties and provides regional services in Lawrence, Pike, Ross and surrounding counties.  She also is meeting with the superintendents in Auglaize County on December 16.  Next Wednesday, Butler County ESC Superintendent Jon Graft is meeting with the superintendents served by the Southern Ohio ESC and Brown County ESC.  In addition to having met with the superintendents in the 11 districts from his county last Friday, Greg Ring, Superintendent of the ESC of Lorain County, is meeting today with the superintendents in Summit County.  For an in-dept look at this grass roots initiative, go to my website at corkyocallaghan.com and click the Ohio Public School Advocacy Network page.
