Report Cards Called a Train Wreck

In an article last Tuesday in the Cincinnati Enquirer, Little Miami School District Superintendent Greg Power called the state report cards a “train wreck.”  Mason City Schools spokeswoman Tracey Carson was also quoted in the article saying that “school district Quality Profiles allow schools to focus less on standardized-test scores and more on what matters to their specific communities.”  Little Miami and Mason are members of the Ohio Public School Advocacy Network which is leading a statewide initiative to restore local control of Ohio’s schools.
