States Urged to Double Down
The National Conference of State Legislatures is a major force in generating education policy throughout our nation. In a recent report, “No Time to Lose: How to Build a World-Class Education System State by State,” NCSL contends that most state education systems are falling dangerously behind the world in a number of international comparisons – leaving the United States overwhelmingly underprepared to succeed in the 21st century economy. The NCSL report urges state policymakers to double down in their efforts to “reimagine and reengineer our education system.”
