A Video Worth Viewing

Diane Ravitch is one of our nation’s most highly respected educational historians and a significant voice in my book, America’s Schools at a Turning Point:  And how we THE PEOPLE can help shape their future.  In an interview with Charlie Rose, she provides valuable insight into the state of our nation’s educational system and why initiatives such as the Ohio Public School Advocacy Network are working to restore local control of our public schools.  While the interview was conducted more than a year ago and, thus, is a little bit dated, it is worth viewing because what she is saying is as pertinent today as it was then.  It also is as relevant for Ohio as it is for the rest of our country.
